About #HellaBlack Live MixTape Vol. 4: PRIDE Edition
#HellaBlack is a one-night only popup event featuring the work of local Black artists and storytellers, curated by Lyndsay Allyn Cox. BCA aims to amplify the voices of Black artists living and working in, or around, Boston.
This year, six Black LGBTQIAA+ artists: Almira, Diggity Dom, Ephraim Adamz, Kay Wattz, Lewis M., and Uku Umlaw will take the Plaza Theatre stage to kick off Pride Month.
Boston’s legendary photographer, OJ Slaughter will be taking “Chosen Family Portraits” of guests and performers.
We’re shaking things up even more by hosting a market of Black-owned vendors along with the Live show everyone loves. In the Black Box Theatre, browse through merch, art, and other creations by the incredible artist Mithsuca Berry, Trillfit, the award-winning black woman-owned boutique fitness brand, the talented Katiana Rodriguez aka boogie.down.baby, Danielle Sommer, owner of small batch bee-based products and infused honey business Kept Fresh, and Emerald City Plant Shop New England’s First Black Owned plant shop.
