In this 20th Anniversary year of Prasanna’s seminal album “Be the Change”, he brings a stellar trio to perform music from the album that put him on the international map as a guitar player and composer. The potent blend of Carnatic music, Jazz, Rock, R&B, Funk, Brazilian and African music in “Be the Change” set new standards and the album was hailed as a masterwork by critics and fans around the world.
For this special Boston show, Prasanna will be joined by bassist Bill Urmson who has performed with Prasanna for over 20 years at several concerts all over the US. Bill is a virtuoso bass master who has performed and recorded with the best in the world. On drums will be the iconic Surinamese drummer, Harvey Wirht. Harvey Wirht is well known in the creative music scene and performs with several of the top Jazz and African artists in the world. Harvey has been performing with Prasanna for over 15 years.
