My work lives at the intersection of spoken word and what I like to call “intentional speech.” At its core, it is the art and practice of mindful language, stitching together words with purpose to inspire reflection, grounding, and intellectual curiosity. My thought process often mirrors that of a philosopher — rooted in questioning, examination, and the willingness to sit with uncertainty — yet expressed through poetry, rhythm, and feeling. Through this lens, I explore the vast spectrum of the human experience as a young adult navigating the world — from spirituality and love to nature, family, Blackness, and the dualities of peace and pain that shape our becoming.
Through spoken word, I revisit questions I once carried as a younger version of myself. At times, the page offers answers, realizations, and truths I’ve uncovered along the way. At others, it reveals even more questions — ones that challenge both myself and the audience to consider perspectives they may not have explored or allowed space for. I believe inquiry itself can be just as transformative as resolution.
My performances are intended to be grounding experiences — invitations to pause, breathe, and reconnect with our inner knowing. Moving fluidly between poetry and song, I use voice and silence to create space for stillness and presence. In this way, spoken word becomes a vessel for remembrance, honoring where we’ve come from while reminding us of the quiet magic embedded in our existence.
