Performing Artist at HellaBlack Vol. 8: Genesis

MD is a Boston bred poet, educator, and community facilitator whose work transforms personal experience into collective healing. MD’s work explored themes of self-love, growth, trauma and the journey of turning pain into purpose, but the beauty of finding self. MD invites her audience into reflection, connection and truth telling. Beyond the stage, she’s committed to nurturing the next generation. As an educator and program creator, she integrates poetry, emotional intelligence and healing practices into youth programming.

 

As MD continues to write and expand into a community branded arts initiative, she wants to remain the center reminder that wandering, healing and becoming are all a part of the same journey.
