Visiting Spring 2025 Curator: BCA Studio Residency Program

Mariana Rey is the Galleries and Exhibitions Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, where she curates and coordinates thought-provoking exhibitions in the Boston City Hall Galleries. Passionate about the power of art to foster belonging and social change, she strives to create spaces that amplify underrepresented voices and reflect the city’s diversity. Prior to her current role, she served as Assistant Director at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery, where she led innovative programming and implemented bilingual resources to enhance the gallery’s mission. 

Born in the mountains of Bogotá, Colombia, Mariana holds a BFA in Visual Arts from the Pontifical Javeriana University. Beyond her curatorial work, she is a text-based interdisciplinary artist.
