Isaac Zerkle (they/them) is an interdisciplinary visual artist working primarily in print,
sculpture, and installation. They are interested in journeys, transitions, and how we form
identities in relation to place. Using maps, archival texts, photos, and found objects as
inspiration, they create abstract prints and print-based installations. Each project exists in relation to specific landscapes and sites of engagement with the natural world.
Isaac has exhibited throughout New England, including at Tufts University Art Galleries
(Medford, MA) and the Jewett Arts Center (Wellesley, MA). They are a recipient of a Vermont Studio Center Residency Fellowship, Wellesley College’s Alice C. Cole Studio Project Grant, and SMFA at Tufts University’s Montague Travel Grant. They are a member of the Boston Printmakers. Isaac earned an MFA in Studio Art from SMFA at Tufts University and a B.A. in Theater and Gender Studies from Wellesley College. They work as a professional art handler in the Boston area.
