Application applies to the following spaces from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023:
- BCA Plaza Theatre
- BCA Plaza Black Box Theatre
- Nicholas Martin Hall in the Calderwood Pavilion
Rental Rates
BCA is introducing a sliding scale rental rate model. We classify non-profit organizations as large, mid-sized, or small. Individual artists typically receive the small organization rental rate.
- A large organization has an operating budget greater than $1 million.
- A mid-sized organization has an operating budget equal to or less than $1 million, but greater than $100,000.
- A small organization has an operating budget of less than or equal to $100,000.
The rental rates for non-profit organizations are as follows (please note: additional costs may be incurred):
BCA Plaza Theatre (142 capacity fixed seating)
- Large Organization – $2,450/week
- Mid-Sized Organization – $1,950/week
- Small Organization – $1,600/week
- Summer Rental – $1,400/week
BCA Plaza Black Box Theatre (90 capacity flexible seating*)
- Large Organization – $1,550/week
- Mid-Sized Organization – $1,250/week
- Small Organization – $1,000/week
- Summer Rental – $900/week
*Actual capacity dependent on ground plan/set up
Nicholas Martin Hall in the Calderwood Pavilion at Boston Center for the Arts (49 capacity flexible seating*)
- Large Non-Profit – $1800/week
- Small Non-Profit – $1000/week
